Anyone here running a Stockade Stocks Mule Deer Stock on a hunter?

Liking the Mule Deer more and more every time I see it...I run Savages and Stockade seems to cater to us barrel Nut guys...anyone around here got one? I've got a Savage LA in 308, a CDI DBM and a 20" Savage Varmint barrel waiting to be cut to 16-18"...hmmmm handy little hunter maybe?

I bought one back around 2006 and the epoxy cracked the following summer. You might also like the b&c m40 or just pick up a used hs on the f/s forum.

If by long action he means 5.062", I'm pretty sure B&C doesn't make one.

CDI told me that Stockade stocks can NOT be inletted for bottom metal BTW.

Kevin offers his own bottom metal that takes standard mags if that's a deal breaker.

I have the Stockade Woodchuck and the epoxy cracked on mine as well. Kevin builds a great shooting rifle, but I would say the fit and finish on the stock is ok.

How long ago did you get the stock?

Did either of you two with cracks use Kevins new material that he charges and extra $40 for?

I received my stock in January 2013, and noticed it started cracking in November. I dont think he offered the new material when I ordered mine
