Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith near Chino, California? My grandpa just got his classic 30-06 Winchester model 70 featherweight back from a gunsmith in Las Vegas, and the action is very "gritty" and difficult to work, and the safety on the rifle no longer works. He was going to use it for deer season, but as that is coming up quickly, he has decided to use one of his other guns instead. I want to get it fixed for him, but I don't really know any reputable gunsmiths in the area. Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated by both my grandfather and I.

If he's still working, take it to Dave Randsberger at Cal Customs in Fallbrook. Or Freddie Bruner in Escondido. Dave's a retired Marine gunny and Freddie is Suhl trained.
