    Ok,

So I bought 600 pieces of once fired FC 308Win. Got it cheap... as it $20.00 per 150.

I run it through the uber Dillon tumbler I have and I see this sucker:

    Anyone know what this is?

    I *think* it's a 44 Automag casing...

If it is... man, I'd love to see the toy it came out of.

    Thoughts?

Really? So the 308 case just tappers to a 44 caliber diameter.

Shucks.... I was hoping for something cool.

    -grin-

Head stamp says "308 WIN FC," just like the 308 standing next to it.

    That's why it's odd... -grin-

What does the inside of the neck mic. Also what is the case length. Looks a little larger than. 30 caliber. Might be 338 whisper/7mm BR. Hard to tell from pics.

    9x25 Dillon maybe?

I thought that the 9x23 was the 10mm necked down to 9mm (like a 357 Sig is a necked down 40SW) and the 9x25 was the 44 AutoMag necked down to 9mm. Perhaps it's a 40-44 AutoMag? A little difficult to see from that photo.

Looked at the picture and I think you're right. I wonder if there is a 338-35 caliber on the 1.5" 308 case? Just looked it up and the 357 Automag is 1.298 inches long and based on the 308 or 30-06 cut down.

Outside (neck) of the spent casing is 10mm (.3295 inch)

The inside (neck) is 8.96mm (.348 inch)

The case length is 32.93mm (1.2965 inches)
