I don't have the equipment to make anything so I'm looking for a plastic reproduction of an M40A1 with an MST-100, something plain that I could then paint. Looking at making a display and since we can't display real firearms openly on our walls here in Canuckistan, I'm looking for a reproduction. It doesn't even have to be a full reproduction, just one side of it and flat on the back. It will be sunk into a table and covered over with Epoxy Resin.

I don't really want to go the option of a $500 airsoft gun but I would, the problem still would be finding an MST-100 scope reproduction.

Ebay had some version of MST100 production. I believe it cones with Wuhan flu free.

Sounds like a wood carving project ........kind of like one of those half boat hull models you see on the wall.

Carve it in pine, break out the paint.

Could use this too....

If its just for a table-based display, I might suggest a simple 10x24" or 12x36" high quality poster that can simply be covered over with a glass top.
This guy has some very nice posters that I have bought, and I think it would be a lot less 'hokey' looking.

...otherwise you'll have to buy one of those full-size blue training rifles and get creative with your air brushing paint skills, and really creative with a dremel tool to make the scope profile look like a Unertl, and in the end I still think it will look pretty fake/hokey-looking....

I did one for a customer many years back using an old airsoft pistol and I thought it looked rather interesting and always wanted to try one with a rifle. I don't have pictures of the one I did (thanks to a computer virus wiping out my hard drive at the time) but it was similar to this:

95 dollars US. Not sure how many bottles of syrup it'll cost you in the great white north:
