Anyone running a 16" AR10/LR308 right now?

If so what barrel are you using? I got a wild hair and ordered some LR308 parts but can't decide on the barrel. I was considering a Fulton Armory Krieger but I found out that they use rifle length gas set ups for all their barrels, including their 16" ones.

I'm basically looking for a gun to fill the 300-700 yard role and has to be light enough to haul.

What would be so bad about a rifle length gas system? are you planning on using a carbine length? what about a midlength? will a 308 run with a carbine gas system?
