Anyone using 4064 in .223?
I think it has a burn rate close to blc-2 acoording to my Hodgdon manuel.

I ran out of RE15 so I loaded up 500 rounds of 75 Hornady BTHPs, 23.5 grs. of 4064 and used them for my club's reduced course NRA Highpower matches at 200 and 300 yds. They worked pretty well, but 4064 is a pain to load because it doesn't meter through measures well. For long range shooting, you pretty much have to weigh your charges for best results.

Thanks for the info. It defintely looks like it is worth a try. I usually hand wiegh all my rifle rounds. And bonus I just happen to have a box of horn. vmax 60 grainers.
