I think 308Sako has done some load development with TAC and some various bullets with decent success. My very initial impression from talking to him was that it TAC was good with the .308, just not as good as he's seeing with his Varget loads. I guess it depends on what you need it for because he's pretty anal about his accuracy.
Al dumb question why go with the 175's w/ a 14" I like TAC for my 16" carbine. 47g 147-150g FMJ and it does it's job to 500yds+ but the carbine is designed to keep heads down not shoot bug hole groups. Remember you give up alot of velocity on a rig that short. I'm getting 2565 fps on my 16" barrel w/ the 150ish grain stuff.
My Black Hills Match clone uses 42.0 gr of TAC and SMK 175.
I've used Win., LC and Lapua brass and several primers and all shoot great. This is out of my GAP and factory Remington .308s.
