Anyone using xs sights on a AR?

Right now I have the pretty standard front post/flip up back sight on my wife's AR. On our farm, the small rear aperture sight able to go out to 600yrds is a hindrance trying to make a fast target acquisition. Also my dad wears glasses and he has problems finding the front sight through the small rear ghost ring.

I stumbled on the XS sights webpage looking for some parts to go on my Saiga and thought they looked like just the ticket. Anyone using these sights or are most people running a scope on their systems with no backup sights?

Thanks

I run em......The rear hadn't been installed yet in this pic but you can see the front here...

Easy to adjust but take a little getting used to. These were from one of the first batches.

Flip up sights are great to but this is a good solution if you run an optic. You would have to jerk the optic off in order to get the flip up sights activated. Here you just tilt and fire.

that is cool. so you just tilt the gun to the left to get your sight picture correct?

Is there a guide somewhere that says what aperture is best for about 100 to 200 yrds on a rear sight. I am also looking for a none optic sight solution. Something in a nice night sight maybe.

Cheers

The XS sights are night sights. They have a tritium front sight.

Yes....just tilt slightly and sight in your target. They are also ambidextrous so they can be flipped. I've found the best way to install them is for the rear sight to be just in front of the optic and stretch the front as far to the muzzle brake as possible.
