Use a linux server OS for your server. Its better anyway. If you must have a GUI you can install it easily from the command line.
Ubuntu while not the best linux distro for server, is better than Microsoft, has a nice GUI and is easy to use for windows only people. There are better choices out there than ubuntu though. Look at distrowatch.com
I have CCNA and Net Plus Certs </div></div>
I have an Ubuntu server, I specifically want Win2k8 so I can finish yet another microsoft cert....
Each has a purpose, but Ubuntu will not serve the purpose I am seeking.
I can find a way to run dot-net on ubuntu but it's a pita.
I'm GOOD on Linux but not as good as Windows and I know security on Windows and how to tighten it down, it's what I do for a living...
Win2k8 is far more secure than Linux, might be hard to believe but google the word IAVA against each OS.
It's almost 2-1 against Linux.
Apple - they have a few IAVA's now, not so secure since they went to Linux.
Adobe software LOL - more IAVA's than carter has pills. pure crap.
But I'm looking for Windows 2008, I have a license and run it in VMWare for school but I want a hardware based box for my business.
I have an MCSE, MCP+I, Sec+,Net+,VPN cert, Linux I/II certification and my girlfriend has the CCNA
We took the CISSP but we'll see - don't know if i passed that one.
So again i am looking for a copy of Win2k8 server...
Oh yeah, forgot I have a degree now in Information Assurance.
