AR-10 ~ MK11 Mod 0

This is my newly assembled Armalite AR10. Its wearing my SN3 and the SR-25 / MK11 MOD0 FF RAS and forward folding irons. Knights assembled this for me using Armalite's barrel nut with their rail. Anyway- its exactly what I wanted. I haven't seen one of these KAC rails on an AR10... ever although I know its not the first out there from reading forums.

Nice , very nice and in a real cartridge chambering . It would be great on hogs . I reckon you should also add Night Vision .

Okay- here is the range report. Very successful trip. Only one FTF out of about 100 rounds shot. Zeroed at 100y. Mostly shot metalic targets out at 300-400-500-600 yards.

The bottom target is the initial zero using my preferred, cheap 150grn Federal AE. The group on the white target is about 2 hours later using 168grn, so with wind picking up and change of ammo the POI had shifted. I was having too much fun shooting steal to get any real groups printed.

I did experience the one problem I had read about with this Rail... the dust ejection port cover pin did walk out. Working on a fix for that.

Its an Armalite barrel. The upper is an AR10A4.

You could get a longer pin, like the one for the AR-10T. That could keep it from backing out. 4-3/16" vs 4-1/8" (Not 100% if this would still be long enough.)

Or you could pull the circlip, push the pin back until the groove in the pin is inbetween the port door and the forward ear. Put the pin in that gap and it won't move. Of course removing it would be a pain.
