I started a thread about AR grips for big hands and decided I would post up the dimensions and pictures of the ones I currently have and maybe others can chime in with what they have with pictures and dimensions.

My measurements are close but probably not exactly perfect. I measured the following,

Top of grip where web of your hand goes to the rear trigger pin ( that way it can be compared no matter what trigger is being used)

Thickness side to side where the web of hand goes

Thickest part of grip side to side

Thickest part of grip front to back.

Anarchy outdoors emperor. This is their largest grip, they also have one that is slightly smaller.

My thoughts on this are that it feels better than I thought it would. The large swell in the back is nice but for me and my large hands I really need more up top where the web of my hand lays, like the magpul miad for example. The finish is a very slick feeling plastic which I don’t like, it’s hard to anchor my hand for the trigger pull. Could easily be fixed with some stippling or skateboard tape. I also didn’t like the thumb shelf, I wish it would have been at a 45* angle up so you could punch your thumb and trigger finger together. I use my ambi 45* safety in this manner and really like it.

Rear of grip to trigger pin 2.188”
Top width 1.135”
Widest point 1.318”
Front to back thickest 2.207”

Next the ergo TDX-0. Love the grippyness and feel of this grip. Love how the grip goes and swells out to the sides which for me really aids in helping to anchor my hand when keeping my thumb on the right side of the rifle as well as the sticky rubber. I do wish the top back where the web of my hand sits was farther back, like the miad, and had the middle front to back thickness of the emperor. This grip was easier to get to the safety than the emperor grip.

Top width .986”
Widest point 1.754”
Front to back thickest point 1.905”

They're cheap enough to buy one and try it. They work very nicely for me, especially in governing trigger finger positioning. I think you'd like it.

I suspect your assessment about the back of the grip is spot-on, but I also think that's the main problem that maybe nobody has a plug-and-play solution for that will work in your specific situation.

My solution would be start with the Chubby Grip, add a blob of 5-Minute Epoxy Putty to the offending low spot, wrap it in Saran, and give it a enough squeeze to form a mold of the palm. Let it cure, unwrap it, sand it smooth, and paint it to match the rest of the grip. It's a custom solution to a less common incompatibility, and it just might work, to boot...

I might give the epoxy tip a try. If I’m going down that road though I might try epoxy on a miad since it already has the thickest back area and putting epoxy there would not be very strong. I could make a palm swell and a thumb pad.
