Glad I switched to MIL lolListen Rodney, we gotta talk... there are like eleventeen threads on this topic and don’t nobody know nuffin.
However, rumor is they are gonna ban all guns owned by dudes named Rodney that can’t find the search function.
May be rumor or they may be stacking up on your door. You decide...
Edit: Fox News also just announced they are taking all guns from people who still use MOA. It’s for the future of our children...
Still confused! Because if this is so please explain how they were able to do what they did concerning our bump stocks? You're correct. If you are lawfully in possession of something right now, you can't be charged for violation of a law passed in the future. Its commonly known as a "grandfather clause" etc. So, thats why I personally am not too worried about what I already own or will acquire before stupid laws get passed. Once the law is passed, fine, I can't buy another one of that item anymore, but I can still possess what I had already lawfully acquired.
There haven't been any successful prosecutions of that unconstitutional rule, and notice local or state governments were *asking* people to turn them in... consensual compliance out of the goodness of their heart of the owner of that pproperty, not forced compliance and confiscations.Still confused! Because if this is so please explain how they were able to do what they did concerning our bump stocks?
Drugs (except alcohol) aren't specifically protected by any constitutional amendment. Apples to oranges. With all due respect, the post you quoted is a bit off in my estimation. When laws change there is no guarantee that previous possessed items will be given "grandfather" status. It is very complex due to the second amendment but things can be made to be illegal. For example.
If we make the assumption that certain drugs were at some point banned, (schedule one for example) and possession was legal prior to the ban, you would not be able to possess "pre ban opioids" after the ban. They are simply illegal to possess. Firearms are a bit different due to second amendment but the principal is the same.

Correct, when the manufacture of an item is banned, then obviously it will be much more difficult to find one or to convince someone to part with theirs.Well hell, If that is the case then please tell me where I can buy one. ....... oh wait....... you can't. So if it is not available then they HAVE found their own loop-hole.
Kind of like finding a Pre 86 fully transferable MK48 MG.......
This is why I'm not speculating as to what may or may not happen. I'm just stating the premise of the types of laws that aren't allowed to he passed according to the Constitution. Now, congress can try and pass whatever, as they likely will try,, and the laws will challenged in assorted lawsuits, make their ways through the court systems, etc and see if the SCOTUS will actually do their job. Only time will tell and I'm not gonna worry about shit until laws are actually passed. Until then, I'm buying 80 percenters and getting to fickin' work.I stated that. But have no doubt, certain firearms can be banned and not grandfathered. Example would be over 50 cal, etc. I have no idea what will happen but assuming you will be grandfathered in is not a sure thing. How you respond the the potential law is another question.
PSA. hey guys Ive got a pond in my backyard, with free boat access. you guys can use it as long and often as you want or at least as long as it takes for your boat accidents to take place.
Any thoughts on the possibility of AR platforms becoming illegal in 2021?
I pay a pool cleaner in 9mm ammo to fish them out.Do you have a big magnet at the end of a long rope?
Good enough for me, I'm out!You are still not getting the facts correct and clearly will not do so.
For those who might, let's clear up the issue in non gun terms.
Laws can be passed to ban a previously legal possession. It may or may no be "grandfathered" to allow legal possession after the law.
No one knows what laws will be passed, how they will be written, what challenges will result or the final enforcement of said laws will be. Speculation is basically senseless at this point.
Yessir it did and I certainly appreciate your participation!Rodney, That was not directed at your post. It was to clcustom. Hope my post cleared things up a little at least. Thanks!
There are no facts to get correct because there's been no laws passed. End of story. With drugs, it is a different animal entirely. When they ban a drug, no you cannot be prosecuted for previous possession. Yes, if you do come into possession after law, that is unlawful. You are still not getting the facts correct and clearly will not do so.

Pro tip, some may want to visit a churchIf it was for this thinking, we’d still have the damn queen on our money.
Pro tip, the meek don’t inherit the earth, outside of little pine boxes, history reaffirms this.
Very well thought out reply that I am in agreement with. Thanks!I am hesitant to jump into this thread but I think the Dems will try to pass a forever AWB and a magazine ban of anything over 10 rounds. They might even try to replicate CA's 'ammo has to be sent to an FFL' rule.
If they do any of this there are enough owners out there that it will be summarily ignored by most people. That said for some items it might make it harder to get... say if they crack down on Magpul then some guy will have to start making mags in his garage or whatever. That applies to those people not prepared already...it will be harder for new owners pretty much.
At the end of the day it won't be pretty. It will eventually fail but in between now and then expect a whole lot of trouble.
People are all scared now thinking all of this stuff now is about Trump, but they miscalculate. One way or another Trump was bound to leave office one day whether it's in 9 days or four years. The fight in my view doesn't revolve around him although I do think he was a superb president and this last election was a complete fraud.
That all said when it comes down to implementation of some kind of a ban it will be really hard to do and it will pretty much compel a lot of people to return to the 1920's and 30's business model.
I even think in certain areas of the country it will be much more trouble than others. It won't be equal at all across all 50 states or even within a given state. What I fear is people that are in positions, say local sheriff or chief of police that will get put on the spot between very vocal citizens and federal agents. I am sure a lot of them will buckle under the pressure and it won't turn out well.

I am with you on that and hope nobody has read me wrong. I'll dam sure fight for the rights we have left.I’m not superstitious
The fact that pot heads are willing to fight harder to smoke weed than some folks will for their second amendment RIGHTS is bothersome
It’s not just the 2a, they wanna put a stop to private schools and 501.3. They are after Americans pure and simple.I’m not superstitious

Just because we have clothes and technology changes little . That is why media ,tv,internet ,etc have such an imput. Do not feed into this ,its game of fear ,control and power ! Its been studied 100s of years phycology as to the human spirit ! This the fourth turning ,it is defined and set. Do not play into the (game of posts) .Enjoy every day you have shooting ! good luck Joe
me too, so if I got this right I can possess pre ban heroin but I would have to forfeit the ducks but not until 2021?Still confused! Because if this is so please explain how they were able to do what they did concerning our bump stocks?
Any word on the people who say the following:Edit: Fox News also just announced they are taking all guns from people who still use MOA. It’s for the future of our children...
Yessir plan to. Starting tomorrow!get on it south zone tx closes the 31st.
The media has never been on our side. Here is an additional thought on the subject.
One thing that every single gun owner in America needs to be aware of... and we are seeing this now... is the power of the media and the power of communication is NOT on our side.
The government more than likely will push and push and push and trample all over the constitution until someone snaps or steps up and puts them in their place. The minute that happens you, me, the guy up the road that has a hunting rifle, anyone who owns or has shot an AR, anyone who owns a handgun, you name it... ALL OF US will be labeled as terrorists and they will use the current set of laws about terrorism to come after people.
More than anything it will be splattered across the internet and the front page of every single newspaper in the world and "we" by and large will be powerless to stop it. It will be no more or no less than when the communist took over China where you had deeply indoctrinated people, even your own family turning on you because of the slime they will spew on the 24/7 news media.
You see it now. It's happening in front of your eyes. But at this moment it's aimed at a different target. Until it's not.
Not being on your side is a whole different story than coming after you.The media has never been on our side.
You must not remember CNN showing a video of an illegally converted full auto AK and passing it off as a gun show purchase in the late 80's.Not being on your side is a whole different story than coming after you.
