OK, I've taken many a AR15 bolt carrier groups apart for cleaning, but on my new Armalite AR10 I can't get the Cam Pin out after turning it... It seems to be hitting on the bolt carrier key on just the edge.. just enough that I can't get it out. Should I send the bolt back to Armalite or get out the dreml/file and take a few thousants off the edge of the cam pin or the underside edge of the bolt carrier key?

Anyone else ever experienced this?

Re: AR10 Bolt Disassembly

I have seen it where the flats on the key are not the same and you can rotate the key 180 and it comes out easier.
Failing that, I would look for a burr somewhere because they had to be able to put it together and the cam pin would go in after the gas key was installed...

I had the same problem, it's just tight because it's new. I wouldn't grind anything off. I had to line it up and tap it out. Once I got a few more rounds through it, it's fine now. A friends DPMS behaved the same way as well.

Perfect guys.. thanks. I tapped it with a screw driver and small rubber hammer and came right out.. very tight tolerances..I like!!

Thanks again!
