Was having trouble ejecting brass on my 260 AR10. After looking at the extractor I figure thats the problem as the gripping lip is chewed up. Been looking on line for a replacement, no luck. Anybody know of some other venders that might have them? Would DPMS or other 308 AR company's extractors be compatiable?

Re: AR10 extractor broken

The same thing happened to me a while back. It was a pain trying to find an extractor. My rifle has a dpms bolt though.
The only place I found that had them available was POF. If the extractors are interchangeable (which I think they are) I'd get one of theirs.

Re: AR10 extractor broken

With DPMS you will need it. I'm at a course shooting DPMS SASS rifles right now, and so far two extractors have shit the bed, and one extractor spring broke.

That's maybe 1600 rounds fired on 8 different guns.

I put 130 rounds through one (cleaning every 30 rounds), and my extractor was mangled and the gun began to FTE and stovepipe casings.

Replaced the extractor with a new component and the higher tension new style DPMS extractor spring, and the gun has had 2 FTE's in 45 rounds now but the extractor hasn't failed yet.

My LMT gun will run circles around this DPMS gun for reliability.

We're shooting Federal Gold medal match 168 grain.
