I bought one but have yet to shoot it. I needed to modify the forward assist as they described as it set too deep into the receiver and would have dragged on the bolt as it cycled. Not a big deal, took less than 10 minutes. Once the bolt arrives and I get the barrel chambered, I'll let you know how it works.
If you choose not to use a bolt with the forward assist cuts, you can always just plug the openning for the forward assist.
Worth the savings to me.
