Wanting to know what the gas port is restricted to on the "S" setting of a Noveske switchblock. For instance if the normal port setting is .067 (estimate only) after the switchblock is placed on "suppressed" what does it reduce the port to?

I've searched but haven't specifically found the answer to my question regarding the Noveske. Yes I could call them directly but 1- I can't do that at 11pm at night, 2- I would prefer not to clog the phones up with questions and take away precious time from making parts or shipping out current orders.

Maybe a reason for wanting to know will help y'all understand why it's important to me. I'm looking to build a dedicated suppressed SBR. I want it to have just enough gas to cycle the weapon without the suppressor with weakest ammo availiable. Most times I will be shooting it with 5.56 pressure ammo though. I would prefer to know the "S" setting port number as I can work up from there.

    Any input is appreciated.

    Re: AR15 Gas Port Question

Noveske design, make and mark Switchblock for specific barrel and gas tube lengths. It may be as well to check out whether this determines the internal diameter on each setting too?

Is a carbine length SB for a 10.5" barrel the same as a carbine length version for a longer barrel?

I don't believe it is, if the Noveske patter is anything to go by.

So perhaps the first thing you need to look at is what length barrel and gas you'll spec, and take it from there?

Agreed, I completely left that out. Yes, it will an SBR in carbine length gas system. I plan to use an 11.5" barrel. If you have any info on what they start with in a carbine length gas system, then what it is reduced to, please post.
