What lb. weight does the service issue M16 have?

AS ya know, the standard "lawyer approved" trigger for commercial AR15's is prolly 8-10 lbs, and gritty as John Wayne.

I'm wondering what goes into combat on M16's?

Another Q -

Any tips / tricks for improving the commercial (non match) standard trigger? As far as lighter pull weight, and smoother function.

Thanx.

M4 triggers cannot be lighter then 5.5lb pull and no greater than 9.5lb pull. When inspecting we set up weights for each and as long as it pulls for the 9.5lbs and not for the 5.5lbs they're "good". Least thats by the CATM TO for your everyday rifle.
