I was just wondering what twist rate most guys are using now. I have an M4 style AR that is 1:8 twist and a 24" Bull Barrelled AR that is a 1:9 twist. What do you have on your AR?

I prefer 1:7 for 5.56 & 1:10 for my 7.62 piston gun.
So I could shoot 40gr-80gr bullets. 1-9 twist AR good with the 40gr.- 62gr. Bullets, Shoots real well with Black Hills 52gr. Match.
1-7 Twist shoots the 62gr. - 80gr. bullets (80gr. single fed) Shoots real well with 69gr.SMK and 77gr. SMK.
My first AR had a Wilson 20" 1-8 Twist bbl and shot .5" groups @ 100yrds consistant with Remington 62gr. HP Match bullets and 24.3gr. Benchmark, Winchester Brass, Federal 205M Primer. I was surprised this barrel shot that well! That Barrel only costed me $199.00 and I got it in 3 Days also.
My 6.5 Grendel is 1-7.5 Twist and shoots well with the 120gr. and 123gr. Bullets.
I think that may be a typo...are you sure you have a 308Win/7.62x51 AR-10 type rifle that has a 1:8 twist barrel?!?! If so, what kind of ammo are you running...240gr?? Also, what make/model rifle/barrel is it?
