Looking to get a couple of gongs and while I would prefer AR550, I see it is not readily available.

So in searching the forums for reputable vendors of AR500, I am looking at 2 different vendors.

Question is this, I see JC & Big Dog both have 12x12 3/8" (with 1/2" as an option) listed. Trying to figure out why 1 vendor is basically twice the money for the same product. Is one not the same as the other as far as true AR500 hardness?

One other question. Is round (12") or a square (12x12) considered to be a better representation of COM?

JC Steel Targets:

We are a place to get Premium AR500 Steel targets a great price. We also have a bigger purpose and goal in mind. All our steel is packed and shipped by youth on Jubilee Youth Ranch. Our profits will be going back to the youth ranch to keep this program up and running. While youth help with the steel they will learn some very valuable skills. They learn the correct ways to pack boxes, correct ways to ship packages, correct ways to print off labels, and correct ways to take care of the business this steel creates.

At risk students here at Jubilee Youth Ranch get an opportunity to start over and gain the skills needed to succeed in life. Any piece of Premium AR500 steel you purchase will go through students hands all along the way. From start to finish you will not only get a quality product, but one that helps at risk youth gain skills towards become better young men.
