Are there any issues with older AI AW chassis?

Was reading a Sniper's Hide article about the AI Armorers Course, and came across the following statement...

"The key learning points are very much similar to what I wrote above so I won’t repeat them, but one thing I learned is just how far warranty and support with go with this rifle. Several times Stacey mentioned to me, with my rifle from 1997 that AINA would warranty and support the chassis, completely upgrading it to the latest version free of charge. He mentioned this not because I was there, but because that is their policy on the subject. When you tear it down it is easy to see the improvements made over the years and each time it was pointed out that older rifle can and would be upgraded if requested. Another important fact, the warranty work is performed in the US and the rifles do not need to go to England to have the warrant and service work done."

Are there certain production years that are considered less desirable due to issues that were later corrected? I've done a lot of searching, but I can't seem to find any specifics regarding what these production changes are, or when they were made.

Here's a link to the original article...

No,

I never upgraded any of my rifles, they are all still in the original purchased condition... and these are not Chassis in the sense of an AICS, but an older AW and older AE.

You'd be hard pressed to find an issue with them.

Thanks, Frank.

Reading that article made me a little concerned that my '98 AW might somehow have an issue that needed attention. I've had the skins off the AW and my new AICS, and the major difference I see is the older AW chassis is welded together. Looks like you could drive a Freightliner over it.
