Doesn't the us optics bases have a lug that fits over the receiver?

It's way more expensive than the egw, but its not out of line for a quality base.

I have been tempted to try EGW since you can't beat the price and most everyone seems to use them successfully. But they are made from an extrusion, and extrusions are rarely straight. One thing is for sure: I wouldn't mount a high dollar scope using an EGW base unless I was running Burris Sig Zee rings.
