Any one have anything like this? Numbers matching, original wood, Japanese 7.7X58mm Type 99 from Nagoya arsenal 1 of 2200 made late 1943 or early 1944 in series 5 or 6 of production, has the cutback mount for use with the 2.5X scope from the Type 97 series. Valued between $2,000 and $3,000 without the Mum showing all screws still staked and unfired since the surrender. Any leads on a Type 97 or Type 99 cutback scope (2.5X) would be appreciated (finders fee) $$$

There is/used to be a guy called vicasoto on Gunboards.com who you should try to contact...he used to be the go-to-guy over there on these rifles......

Maybe also try a post on milsurps.com?

Good luck with it, it would be great to see the rifle with it's scope.

Bear in mind that the scopes were originally numbered to the rifles.

Are you intending to get it serviced and back to shooting condition?

Is in service condition. Head space and chamber good. Has not seen many rounds. Clean chrome bore. All ready contacted Vic and gave him all my info. Have fired subsonic cast loads to test function. Scopes were zeroed to each rifle the numbered same as rifle. In a few weeks Ill send some full power loads down range, I don't anticipate any problems.
