ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNER

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

I talked to Mr. Trapp again and I need a signed consent form to even be on site to watch the match, wish I could make it, but dad doesn't have the time to make it out there with me...

I'm game-

A beer says I can come out ahead of MikeR, even shooting a gasgun!

Think you can take your brother's wife?

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Not to fuel the fire, but LH Gina has been on fire with her 1st shot hits, so Scott would have to bring his A game along.

I have no expectation for myself, so just come along to enjoy the outing.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Looking foward to shooting with you all again.
I'll be field testing my new build at this one. I hope it pays off. It seems to be shooting where I point it, but the score all depends on how I point it.

I think you'll be surprised when Scott's A game reappears.....I've got a feeling he'll be pulling out of his slump any time now.

I have no doubt about that. Also, he has a new stick, the 260. That should have some serious BC on those projos.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

I can't dis Regina, she has been on fire and getting better each time she comes out, so unless its a big match, all bets are off.

I'll let her tell you guys how I had to threaten her in Norcal. LOL

I'm looking forward to destroying Nick!!

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Agree. That was damn hard to hit the darn targets. What about the loophole shots? LOL. Thought that was cool. Wind wasn't too bad, only if I learn how to dial my elevation correctly. LOL. It was fun.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

I disagree with DesertHK-the wind sucked!! if it looked like a barely drifting mirage from right to left, hit were made with 15mph FV DOPE!!

Coulda woulda shoulda-I left a lot of points out there on one stage, but had a good time anyway! If I finished in the top 25% I'll be happily surprised, but anyway I did OK for a production barreled gasgun shooting factory ammo....

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

The truck was by far my worst. The wind did suck, alot and consistently.

Overall I had a ton of fun and proved that my home built savage 6.5x47 is a way better shot than I am.

See you all in December

Russ

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Agree with you Steve that the wind sucks. But my 300 Win Mag with a BC of about .64 buckles it a bit better than the smaller projos. However, I couldn't shoot worth a shit today. I should have taken my 308, probably would do better. Hell, throwing bricks at the targets probably would be better too. Had lots of fun today guys. Couldn't believe it took me over 4 hours to get back, because I got lost. Looking forward to next month. Thanks Brad and Cory for setting up the match there.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

I agree about that helicopter stage. Not many chances to be able to shoot out of one of those. Felipe, you would have LOVED it. So cool.

I also enjoyed the stalk through the swamp. I had the hardest time finding those targets. Chiller rocked that one!

Big thanks to Brad, Corey, & the folks at Gunsite for allowing us to play on their day off... And another big thank you to Mark from Storm Tactical. It was a great match and as usual, a lot of fun. One of these days I'll figure out my left from my right for those 5 second wind call follow up shots.

If I'd known about those side bets, I might have brought my A game.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

I enjoyed the long range shot from the empire state building, I kinda felt like King Kong for 5 minutes. Ohh and the using the russian sniper rifle from the space station was cool.

Thanks Brad, Cory and Gunsite for the match and work you guys did for us today. We had a great time.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Thank you Cory, Brad, Storm tactical, and Gunsite.

Overall I'm very pleased with the opportunity to have shot at Gunsite. It is amazing how much land you guys have and you use it well. Thanks for bringing out the Ashbury .338. Very cool.

It was nice to meet some new folks and just hang with old ones.

Congrats Matt, Tim, Chillmaster, and Scotty. Everybody shot great today.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

The target id in the swamp was tough, I was surprised that gunsite put that one together for us. It must have cost a ton of $ to get all that water there. Note for the next match, bring the waders, I was soaked after that stage.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

It was fun!! I am sure it will be Asshole deep in snow next month!! Get out the white ghillie suits!!! Felipe you missed a good one. You need to come out and take the money from Matt!!
I'm tired of donating to him all the time!! Good shooting Matt. Thanks to all the Gunsite folks!! We do appreciate it.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

To one and all. The trip was well worth the time. It allowed us to work some shooter/spotter questions I had for an upcoming match. It exposed us to new problems that allowed us to come up with better solutions. I was able to put hands on and fire a “unobtanium” rifle. The transition from the helicopter stage…..down the fast rope was epic.

Last and most important. It allowed me to see and meet friends, to make a few more, and have a truly epic event. To everyone that was there, thank you. To those that were not able to make it, my recommendation is to make the time.

Two words to sum it up, thank you.

I was going to go up to watch at least but I needed a signed waiver and a parent there just to watch it, gunsite policy. Ill forsure make the next one, but dad was busy this weekend.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Had a BLAST all weekend! Gunsite is huuuuge! Thanks to everyone that made it possible! Thanks again for bringing me along Randall, I am HOOKED!

Shooting this sexy beast was my highlight.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

I didn't mind the fast rope or the swim qual, but shooting movers while spy-rigging from the CH46 was pretty tough.

Seriously, Gunsite: Phenominal, 2000 acres of pure heaven. Cory, thank you for allowing us to come out and utilize a small piece of this outstanding facility.

Brad, thank you for putting this on, this is a MUST DO event. I was humbled by this match.

Chiller, I want to see you sporting that custom Hoodie at a future shoot...

It was great meeting so many folks face to face finally! Some real great folks at this event from all over, including CA, NV, UT and AZ!

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Sounds like you all had a good time... I guess we should have just said screw it and went. While we did have a productive weekend working around the house, it wasn't near as much fun as you guys had.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

There's next month!

It was a good time, definitely. Great to see some folks again and very cool to meet some more great members of our shooting community!

The Ashbury 338 was pretty cool, but not something I'm gonna go run out and build right away.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Thanks to the Gunsite crew. I appreciate what you guys do for us. I look forward to the December 5th match. I had an absolute blast! Please pass on my thanks to the higher ups and if you ned anything, give me a call.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Thanks Gina. In the end, I still got beat by a girl! How the heck are we gonna slow Matt? Tim has the year end points and will be the 2010 champion! Congrats TIM!

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Congrats Tim. Nobody can catch you, not even the Captain. 2011 should ne an intresting year. Matts on fire and Scotty got his groove back. Congrats Scott for sticking with it.

Thanks again to Gunsite. I have always wanted to get up there and now Im very glad I did. That is one hell of a facility.

See you guys in Dec.

I have a plan to slow Matt, instead of him working on my triggers Im going to start working on his.

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Had a great time as usual, thanks to Brad, Cory, and the Gunsite crew for another awesome match.

Gongrats to Tim for being this year's top shooter!

Next month is going to be a real nail biter for Scott's @ Specialized Dynamics custom AR upper! Many people are in the running. Just hope I can pull off a 4th place or better win to grab it

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Felipe, I wanted to let you know that you are now a legend in everyone's mind.

I think if you ever do show up you'll have half the west coast shooters on their knees worshiping you, your superior shooting skills, and bringing 30-06 bullets as offerings to the God of the 1/10 MOA!

Re: ARIZONA PRACTICAL RIFLE NOV 7th $100 TO WINNE

Top gasgun baby!!!

Nice shooting Brad!

15 point spread for six shooters from fifth through tenth, that's pretty tight. Maqkes it hard to not kick one's self for stupid misses!!
