I agree that the pros are the best choice for camo dipping, BUT the dip kits are fun to play with for the DIYer. They also have enough material in them to camo 2 guns I would guess.... To each their own I guess....

Base coat paint and clear from: OHW Paint | The Best Basecoats & Clears for Hydrographics Their aerosol cans really work great and save time on cleanup and prep.

I used Duracoat's hydrofilm clear on the AR I did in snow cammo.
The first thing I ever dipped was this AR, turned out pretty good for a rookie in the garage with a Rubbermaid tote for a tank....

for the DIYer it's kind of fun. Rifle stocks are a lot easier than the individual parts of the AR. Do it in two halves.
