ATACS - help me choose a matching cerakote color

I am trying to decide on what color cerakote I should use for my barrel / receiver and bottom metal to nicely match the stock that I will have done in ATACS camo. I will be using these guys for the ATACS camo dip:

You can see the ATACS pattern on that page. What color Cerakote do you guys think will match the best? I would like something that is a match for the darker color in ATACS. Coyote Tan and Magpul FDE seem to light? Am I wrong?

Dang! Camo Solutions backed up and no longer taking orders... Geesh... Anyone know a good place to get a ATACS dip? From what I understand it is difficult?

http://www.ajbrownarms.com/. He can do your whole rifle including optics! In case you need any gunsmith work done you may want to ask him what he's done for the last 25+ years!

Are you talking about the ATAC-S AU or FG? I had the same question a couple of months ago and got the recommendation of patriot brown for the AU pattern. I still haven't got a good color for FG.

Hit up ARP here on the Hide, he paints stocks in his own take of the ATAC camo. He would probably be able to tell you what colors to look for. Or hell he would be able to match your action and bottom metal to the stock.

Oh and post pics when you get it all wrapped up.

Does he do ATACS specifically? I have heard back from a lot of places that do stocks that they cannot do ATACS as it is hard to replicate...

Thanks for the recommendation. I checked the cerajote site and I like the Patriot Brown color. Yes, I like the ATACS AU but that FG looks sweet as well... Are these the two you are talking about?

Yup, those are the two. I lIke the FG also. I haven't seen it on anyone's weapons and that was part of my desire to get it in that pattern but it's SO new that I've been having difficulty finding people that have worked with it...

This was brought up in another thread and a few of us thought Patriot Brown would look great with ATACS. I think Sage looks pretty good if you're looking for a lighter color. If someone comes up with a good suggestion for the ATACS-FG I'd love to know. I keep coming back to black as a match for the ATACS-FG but feel like that's a cop out.

I have the exact same opinion. Black seems too easy. I'll check out the sage color for the ATACS

Yep, my vote goes to Patriot Brown too. I would contact shortbus on here and see if he can dip it. His work is reeeeeal nice.
