Suppressors ATF Form 4

Re: ATF Form 4

Its probably not stickied because any Class 3 dealer worth a fuck will already have it filled out for you and all you will need to do is sign it and mail it in along with a copy of your trust, your citizenship form and a check for 200 bucks.

Re: ATF Form 4

Received,

I'm not used to getting customer service worth a damn anymore. It seems to be a rare occurance these days. And I didn't know that it WASN'T the responsibility of the buyer to take care of this business. So excuse me for being proactive.

Re: ATF Form 4

Halligan, its cool man. Its just one of those things that when you are looking into buying a suppressor of any sort that the dealer you are purchasing from should provide for you. There are things asked for that the dealer knows and can fill out without you asking, all you really need to do is tell the dealer the name of who is getting the transfer, wether it is a trust or an individual and they can take it from there.

Or atleast my usual class 3 guy only needed to know who it was being transfered to and all I did was walk in and he said "sign here, and here, then take this (your trust) and sign and have it notarized, then go make a COPY of your trust and put it in this envelope along with your check and put it in the mail, there is already a stamp on the envelope and its return addy is back to me, Ill call you when I get your form4 back", I said thank you Marky, and walked out.

Re: ATF Form 4

My understanding was that the Police Chief or Sheriff where I live would have to sign it. I don't live in city limits. What happens if I am buying from a dealer in another city and/ or county from my own?

Re: ATF Form 4

Only need LEO sign off if you are doing it as an individual. Go the trust route and no one knows what you have besides you, the feds, and your dealer, cops have no idea.

Even if you went the LEO sign off it only changes things slightly, your dealer still should fill out the firms and tell you where the LEO signature needs to be. And you need to do a picture of yourself and finger print cards.

Michael Tighe, dba Texas Small Arms Research, is right there in Anna.

Craig Simpson, dba RCS Guns, is also right there in Anna.

Jon David Whitson, dba JDW Manufacturing Company, Inc., aka Shark Suppressors, is not too far from you in Plano.

There are many other FFL/SOTs nearby...

That is a HUGE help! Thank you very much! I'll call the guys in Anna first. I'd rather keep my business as close to home as possible.
