Rifle Scopes Athlon issue - adjusting parallax after every 22lr shot?

Ok, haven't run in to this before. I had grabbed a deal on an Athlon Helos BTR to use on my Tikka T1x. Rifle shoots great. Not happy with the scope though. After every single shot I had to adjust parallax on the scope to get target back in focus. This has to be an issue with the scope right? I'm planning to call Athlon tomorrow to see about RMA, but just wanted to confirm this is abnormal.

Even with that issue and having to adjust every shot, I was able to shoot two decent groups at 100 yards before being too annoyed to continue. Best was a 0.93" 5-shot group where first 4 shots were in 0.45". So the accuracy seems OK, just having to adjust parallax on every shot is incredibly annoying. Should I be looking for a different scope for rimfire?

You definitely have an issue. The scope should stay focused the same after each shot.

my NF's work great and hold parallax between shots even with 300 Norma. just wasn't sure if this was standard operation for Athlon. regretting getting budget scope....

Send it back to Athlon, info on their Website and a form to fill out. They have a quick turnaround. I've used their warranty/customer service and was pleased with the results.

One of my S&B's does that when mounted on my big rifle, just not after every shot, maybe by the 3rd it needs refocused, but not when it's mounted on the normal rifles. None of my Athlon's do it but they are all on smaller rifles/cartridges.

Send the Helos back.
