Atlas TRG Mount

I'm wondering if the Atlas TRG mount would allow a thicker profile barrel rather than the Sako TRG? Anybody have one of these installed and have a thicker barrel than the Remington Varmint contour the Sako TRG's come with?

I have found that all of the chassis are a little different, but on my chassis it did not seem to provide more clearance. I have a heavy palma on mine and had to mill some of the barrel down to clear the original TRG mount. Actually, the Atlas mount extended further towards the receiver than the TRG and I had to mill the barrel further back to make it clear.

I think I might just have the barrel carved out to clear the bipod...I found this;

The bipod design kind of stinks...I guess the only alternative would be to mount a Harris
