I worked for a Japanese owned Toyota supply company for 16 years and had a similar situation happen. We made several different part groups - brake tubes, blow molded air ducts and sould dampening pads made out of asphalt.
We were having some issues on our asphalt sheet line and had a Japanese support crew come out to "assist" us in trouble shooting and fixing the problem. As a result, they felt the need to draw out the process they used to improve and tell the story of what the did via cartoons and narative. Long story short, during the visitation of the Japanese president of our company, they unveiled their story board which, at one point, read:
"In order to make a good asphart line, we must have a strong constitution".
I was asked to vacate the area by the American VP, as I could not contain myself. Just thought I'd share.
