Ok so I ordered one of these for my SPS I was waiting for something to pop up in the classifieds but no luck after the past few months. I know its not the best stock but my budget is tight and anything is an upgrade from the hogue. Just looking for some reviews and torque specs on the rifle the stock will be here on Friday, thanks!

Re: B&C Tactical A2

They are fine, heavy and not as strong as a good laminated stock but you should see some good improvement from the Hogue. Make sure to check the barrel channel for freefloat, they've been known to need a bit of sanding depending on your barrel.

This is pretty easily accomplished with a good-sized wooden dowel that you can you pick up from your local home improvement store and a little bit of reasonably fine sand paper.

Re: B&C Tactical A2

I torque to 40 in-lbs on the front screw, and 25 in-lb on the rear screw. It works for me in my B&C A2 for one 308 and an A5 on the 338.

Make sure the recoil lug is set square against the bedding block when you torque, I've had first-shot issues after torqueing when I didn't check it and make certain to keep the action pressed back against the bedding block when I tighten the screws.

I use a deep-well socket to the same effect. It works well and I happen to have a set of all different sizes right on hand.

Re: B&C Tactical A2

Go 40 in/lbs on both and afterwards, be sure that the mag box moves around some inside the stock. I have an uncanny ability to bind mine up every time I take it apart and it does not like shooting if the mag box isn't in there right.
