Badger FTE or Ross Brake?

I am having my new 300SAUM Put together and my smith has an FTE Brake in stock and would give it to me at a good price. I have a 260 with a ross brake, it is very loud but the brake is very effective at reducing recoil. I really love the way it looks when fitted properly as mine was. I have never owned or used an FTE brake but everyone raves about them. My dilemma is how the FTE looks on the gun, I am not a huge fan.
Has anyone used both and can compare the effectiveness of both? If it was your build, what would you use?

If it was my build I wouldn't give two shits about the vanity and looks and put a very effective (read FTE) brake on the rifle. FTE's shine with magnum calibers and you wont be disappointed.
