Badger M2013 - round bolt knob option?

I see that the new Badger M2013 action comes with the Badger mini tactical knob. Does anyone know if the round knobs will be an offered option?

I know it's silly but the lack of a round knob might sway me to go another route on my .260 Rem build.

I emailed Badger last week about this but haven't received a reply yet.

You can order them on 2/18 but they won't ship until sometime in March.

Deal lol. I didn't know the bolt handle was threaded. That was one of the questions I sent to Badger.

Whoah whoah, I'd like to keep one for myself!!! I only have a few knobs.

Like SSG pointed out, you could probably find one from a hardware dist.

Im not 100% on thread pitch off the top of my head but a call to Marty will put you in the right direction also.

For grins I just finished this AI/Badgerish handle for my 6.5 Swede green monster. I made this ball .8" in diameter but might experiment with a few different sizes.

Call Badger ans ask about the thread size and pitch on the end of the bolt handle

Then go to one of the many places that sell aftermarket knobs.

This is a badger rd ball that came on this action, feels better than the tear drop style.

This one came from everglades, it is a little bigger diameter and feels more like an AI.

Yes it is, for some reason was thinking everglades was the name, but it was glades armory.

I got 10 of the 6046K15 part but they are only .5" deep so a bit shallow to screw on all the way to the Badger handle. I'm going to drill one out and see if I can get it to seat on the shoulder.

At $1.67 each though it was worth a shot. They are basically the same diameter as the AI knob.

A 13/64" drill bit and 5/16-24 tap got it really close.

I'm going to grab a bottom tap and try to get it exact though.

It does seem to make the bolt lift a smidge heavier since the ball is smaller (rather shorter) than the tactical knob.

Figured it out. There's 1/32" that's not threaded under the shoulder. I removed the first thread in the knob with a 5/16" drill bit.

It is now perfect!

I still have 8 more knobs too. The first try I didn't drill deep enough and split it with the tap...oops.
