I have stated in the past my dislike for badger rings,My reason was of my own fault and I realize this later than sooner.
I have used badger rings with horrible ring marks and scope dents from the sharp corners and edges on the top cap.
badgers also have a quench area that always looked like it could go a little tighter.
I am that guy that thinks 15-20inch pounds is for air soft and I realize now that badger rings will hold more than most with less torque due to there design and will not mark scopes on a true rail and proper torque..

Sorry to anyone that I steered away from my own faulty use of there product..
Sorry Marty for not seeing my error sooner,But Once it came to my light bulb,I thought it wise to share my new attitude on the product.

Re: badger rings dont suck !

I have to say I've not seen your previous negativity towards their product, but I'm not surprised you've changed your view.

We use their MAX-50 rings, torqued to their 15 in/lbs spec for our COMP ML-3 Aimpoints. They receive constant abuse, quite severe sometimes, and have yet to have a sight lose zero due to the ring over the last three years, covering hundreds of sights. I couldn't imagine having a different mount on them and still hold the way these do. Badger Ordnance is tops in my book.

yeah , I saw your posts on other sites over Badger rings being crap , But I just discarded it as dribble , as you where the only one saying this .

I look at what most are saying , not just a single poster , but the overal consensis .

Always worked fine for me, although I don't tighten them like a crossbolt...

You will find it hard to go wrong with the recommended torques that these companies put out for their products. Afterall, they did do the R&D to find those values.

I was contacted by others that didn't want to post on the open forums that had the same problems, this is more for them than anyone else ..
