New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Has anyone used the badger torque wrench. Looking at either this one or the Borka. I like both because of different reason just not sure which way to go. and info would be appreciated.
It's essentially a Seekonk 65 in/lb preset torque wrench with the associated bits for common fasteners and I've used a similar set up for probably the last ten years or so. It works very well and is very durable but it has its drawbacks, mainly being that it will only do one torque setting. If you need to tighten something up to a different spec, say ring cap srews or the bolts on a set of Seekins rings then you need another torque wrench and/or bits. Having a few different preset torque wrenches and all of the associated bits gets kinda pricey, especially when you start to compare it to the Borka torque wrench. I've been using the Borka for a little bit now and it's my go to torque kit whenever I have to mount up a scope or disassemble my rifle. It'll give you multiple torque settings in a compact package that will cover just about every conceivable torque value from scope rings to action screws. My advice is to get the Borka Tools kit, it's compact, accurate, easy to use, and quite affordable when you start comparing the two.
Yes I did mean from Triad. And thank you for all the info that helps a lot. I plan on ordering a kestrel and a few things from Triad next week and was wanting to get a torque wrench because I've needed one a few times now. Thanks again for the help looks like I will be going with a borka, everyone seems to like it and I've not heard anything bad about it.
