Ballistic Advantage Getting Out of the .224 game?

So I bought a 20” BA DMR type premium barrel in .224 Valkyrie a few weeks ago from my LGS. A few days later I hop online to see what all the little details are about the barrel, and there’s nothing to be found. Literally NOTHING .224 Valk is listed.

Did BA get out of the Valkyrie game?

I tried calling them up to get some info, but got no answer. Tried leaving a message, but haven’t gotten a response..... and it’s been two weeks at least.

It kinda makes me question my purchase.

What are y’alls experiences with BA Valk barrels?

I appreciate it Mute. I saw that they have the 18” barrels on sale, but there is not mention of any other Valkyries anywhere else on the website. It makes me wonder if they are selling off what they have and getting out of the cartridge all together, and if so, how will they go about honoring their MOA guarantee in the event that someone get a dud of a barrel?

It’s all just mental gymnastics right now, but it would make me feel a bit better to have an idea of what their plan(s) are.

My Aero rep confirmed that Aero is discontinuing their .224 valkyrie items and since they own Ballistic Advantage, it's a good bet that BA will follow suit. He hasn't confirmed with them but that would be my guess. Of course, that might mean some good discounts on .224 Valkyrie items as they clear the inventory to get these products off their shelves.

If you want BA barrels and want them cheap go to Primary Arms.
Watch the sales they have every other week, most of the regular priced stuff can be had for less than half.

Thanks for checking with your rep @Mute.

Any idea on what that means for people who have accuracy issues with their Valk barrels? I’m sure that’s a question that only they can answer should the need arise, but figured I’d ask anyway.

Thanks again

I'll have to check with them. As long as they have barrels available, they'll probably honor their warranty and do replacements. After that, it's hard to say how they'll handle it.
