Range Report barnes 171 grn match burners 7 mm

Anybody tried the barnes 171 grn match burners in 7 mm ? They show to have a really high bc - .645 . Was thinking of trying them in a 7-08.

Looks like you're going to be the guinea pig on this one. I too was hoping some one would have some experience with these bullets and they do look interesting. Pls let us know if you give them shot.

This is actually my go to bullet, and I specifically picked the 7mm08 and this bullet. I am using Win 308 brass necked down, and 46.0gr of 4350 and the 171 at 2.870" and getting really good results. Getting 2750fps out of a 26" 8.5 twist barrel.

Which form of 4350? I have a 27" 8-twist barrel that I use IMR4350 with the 162 amax, and have a box of the 171's coming to test out. I use necked down LC LR cases which doesn't give me quite the capacity, but the speed is still there.
