I am looking for a recommendation for where to get a barrel fluted

I have a heavy target barrel that I want to get fluted. The only reason to flute it its too heavy. I put it on a 1000 yard prone gun years ago and it was too heavy to hold for 20 shots so I replaced it. Now I want to use it on a new project. Is there any advantage of one pattern over another, i.e. straight vs spiraled?

Thanks

The part that hasn't been removed is also longer.

But it was there beforehand. The other issue however is that spiral flutes may be less stiff than straight of the same weight removal.

Why is there more weight removed by spiral fluting?

You seem to be pretty good at math judging from your posts. I'm sure you could figure it. I try to get a full revolution on my cuts. Just ran a string around one that was fluted 18". Looks like it was 18 1/2". Nothing to brag about but it is longer. Rem. varmint contour.
