Barreled Action Recommendation

Would anyone mind recommending a place to pick up a barreled action other than Brownells for a first-time build. I would like to keep the price under $1000. I have no problem and buy from them, they just don't have what I am looking for in stock. Plus, options are always a good thing. I am looking for a 26 inch 6.5 cm heavy. I have been shooting .308 Howa and love it. Thanks in advance.

The obvious is another Howa from Brownells. They offer a 6.5 heavy 26 inch barrel.

Great action and accuracy.

You certainly won’t find anything cheaper.

Check with Alamo Precision Rifles. One of their in-house actions may get you close to that, and they're excellent.

Actually, out of stock by the time I looked back. I will look at Alamo. Thank you.

Alamo will run you almost 2k by the time you get it rigged up. I would buy a tikka drop it in a chassis
