After the first 20 rounds when I bought the gun, I had the same thoughts, and also had to clean dirt out from every bag, gun, scope, my clothes and hair, and anything else that was in the blast radius of the brake. It’s much more enjoyable suppressed!

I've shot a few of those. I think I might have incurred a TBI from the experience.
 
Makes me wish I would have got the 95 instead of the 99 but still fun to shoot.
 
That sounds and looks way more pleasant than I expected.
 
I built a form1 can for my Barrett 99
Out of high grade steel. It is 16” long 3” diameter and weighs 7lbs. It is hearing safe. No ear plugs no concussion and just the thump to the shoulder that isn’t that bad without the other stuff
