He has at least 5,000 rounds left, but likely 8,500 for a total of 10,000 give or take.

Elohim1-there are lots of threads on this subject, search funtion found in ratbert's (amoung others) sig line will help you find them, bottom line is LOTS of life left-5-8 thousand rounds possible. All depends on conditions of use, rate of fire and what loads are fired etc. But bottom line probably lots of life left

That barrel has plenty of life left in it. I have right at 2,000 on a factory 308 barrel and it is still shooting good. Needless to say, the quality is no where near comparable to a Bartlein. If that is your only hesitation about buying the rifle, I would buy it without a second thought.
