So what if any other training differences are there in the use and implementation of an AR platform, in a full sized caliber compared to a small caliber such as 5.56 are there in egressing or assaulting a hostile area or target? Would a battle rifle in an SPR configuration being used in complement with a another person using a smaller carbine AR be used in the same capacity?

I'm asking this because a semi auto 308 has some pros that are also cons, and could be either helpful or disastrous in certain situations. Such as penetration / energy. The 308 has better penetration of hard targets such as brick, walls, cars, and other forms of concealment/cover. As well as a greater impact on body armor than the 5.56. Along with this power comes the potential for over penetration which can harm an unintended target.

Re: Battle Rifle vs Carbine tactics and training.

Not to oversimplify, but different bullets can do different things. With the right bullet you can have a .308 bullet penetrate MUCH less than a 5.56
Energy is a different subject though. Also you can carry a shitload more 5.56 than 308. It all depends on what you want. As to that rifle you are shooting in the picture above, the muzzle will arrive in the hallway corner a day or two before your eyes.

LOL That's not me that's Chris Costa. I just used it as an example.

I guess you could carry a few mags of different ammunition. Although that could get confusing depending on the situation.
