Bears Repeating far and wide

In the video they said their failure was being apathetic.

Instead of letting mothers against guns drive the narrative, maybe chapters of local 2nd amendment groups could form to meet, define directives, and lobby their local governments at the city and county level. Then those sync up for the state and then the nation. But keep the local groups accountable only to the members if possible.

Reliance on representatives has turned out to be the weakness of this republic. If people are serious about not wanting their God given rights being usurped then they need to start getting off the couch and start pushing back within the framework of the law. Sending a few bucks to the NRA for representation is probably a failing position.

Of course there will be no saving some areas from the anti agenda. Take Washington state for instance. The cities are what they are. But then outside the cites there are sheriffs opposing the mandates coming out of those cites. Well that is good on those sheriffs but no one should expect them to hold out forever if they don't have a well organised, vocal, and driven group of citizens in their jurisdiction backing them up.

I'd say start having conversations out in town, organize, grow, and go from there. But for Pete's sake the majority who care about any skin they might lose with the anti 2A agenda need to get up of the couch and flex some influence. The idea is to limit the spread of unconstitutional over reach and keep it as contained as possible instead of just waiting for it to happen.

Funny story...well...informative.
I know, I told you my wife is English.
She wanted nothing to do with guns when she came here.
She told me how she disarmed a 12 year old that tried to mug her. She insisted that I could take care of the "gun stuff". I insisted she was very lucky to have come out of the mugging with a cut hand.

Theirs is a different culture, they aren't wired like us as a rule. I didn't really see it till I married one.
I do believe they may rise up one day...although....history doesn't make the betting odds very good.

Oh the wife carries now. I'm proud of her.
And that thing I say allot about being born to shooting or you aren't?
I haven't taught her shit. She picked up my pistols and started shooting hell out of them.

Shit! ETA:
That was not the funny story!
First time she ever saw a cop on the street in downtown Shitville, I swear to you, THIS is exactly her reaction.
I thought she had lost her mind. Wanted her picture took with him. Got pics of his car...the works.
Anyway...all Brits must be able to make this exact face at birth:

Luckily she didn't do the finger gun thing. She isn't a complete moron.

You rural county folks need to start leveraging the natural county rivalry like you see in HS sports.

Start the conversations up in your area then start calling the fudds on the other side of the county line a bunch of chicken shitz. They'll likely get jealous and follow suit in no time. And the ball starts rolling from there..

Your wife sounds like one of the good ones Mr Chikn.

The USofA, Britain, and the motley crew down under have a lot of common heritage despite the differences.

It's no wonder that all are under the same oppressive thumb.

Isn't that how the Hatfields vs McCoys got started?

No. I think one wanted to marry one from the other. The patriarch said, and I quote "If she ain't good enough for her own family, she damned sure ain't good enough for ours..." And then, the fight started...

Nope.
That isn't what started it. Class warfare mostly, jealousy. Long before Asa McCoy was killed, there was bad blood. There was a bad hog deal. Then Romeo and Juliet was performed.
