Gunsmithing Bedding a Stiller Tac 30 Singleshot

Anyone bedded one of these..The spot where the clip feed would go do i need to relieve this area after bedding in the stock. It relly looks good but i since a little stress and think it may be this area. any help would be good.

If you bedded it with the action supported by the barrel, then there should not be any stress in that area.

It is hard to know without knowing what process you used.

Shoot it, that should tell you if there is a problem.

Roger on that..Attached pillers to the action and had stock opened up for pillers to slide into..Supported barrel with tape on 2 places and set action with pillers attached into mud....concered about the area under center of action being rased up on the Tac 30.do you think i need to cut it out as it is setting on this as well as the pillers. Bedding job looks great. when torguing down on the action screws i can feel the stock pull to the action a little.Havent shot it yet though.
