Hi all,
Not perfect but just wanted to show some results of my first ever bedding job, done for my Howa .308 on a B&C Tactical stock. Have to give special recognition to all the informative and detailed bedding tutorials on this site, they were a great help. Special thanks to Scimitar for all the advice on bedding Howa actions, and for introducing me to Epoxease silicon mold release. One spray of the Epoxease and there was no way the bedding will stick to it. Much faster and easier than shoe polish. Anyway, here are some pics:
Still have some edge cleaning to do but it is mostly finished. Any suggestions on how best to clean up the edges would be appreciated. Dremel might work a bit too fast. I do have flat file ready...
No air bubbles detected so I was glad about that. And as you can see, I skim-bedded only the front lug and rear portions of the stock after chatting with Scimitar, and learned that bedding the sides of the action won't really help, or negatively affect the accuracy.
