Gunsmithing bedding question

Is there any advantage to bedding an action into a stock that has a full length bedding block built into the stock? it would seem that pillar bedding wouldnt offer much but would glass bedding offer any benefit?

Yes, its called Skim bedding. Do a search as it has been talked about a million times already.

I have personally compared several aluminum bedded stocks before and after I glass bedded them and it definetly helps if done correctly.
