Benchmark VS Varget powder

I've been using both benchmark and varget powders. I'm getting similar performance between the two, but the benchmark trickles / meters 10x better IMO. Night and day difference between benchmark and varget. Can run benchmark on my chargemaster all day long and rarely get an over throw. Really becoming a fan of the benchmark powder.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on benchmark powder?? Reason why someone wouldn't use benchmark in comparison to varget?

Because Benchmark + heavy bullets + 308 = Shitty velocity

Several years ago I couldn't get any Varget, and NEEDED to load ammo for a match. I bought benchmark and did a quick load workup. I got to 2500fps with 175smk from a 24" tube before pressure set in.

It shot lights out with all charges I tried. I won my match. Then I got more Varget, and still have 1/2lb of Benchmark in the cabinet.

I like benchmark for 556/223
69 gr bullets.
Varget for 308.

I like benchmark in hot .22 stuff, 22-250, 223 etc. I'm a varget fan for .308 and H4350 for 243 and 260.
