I am having a hard time getting these bullets to shoot super tight in my 6.5 CM. I have an AE MK III with Bartlein 24" barrel. I think I have the right powder charge at 42.5 H4350. I think it boils down to seating depth now. I can't seat them at or into lands due to the mag length. Any suggestions on lengths to avoid burning a bunch of bullets?

Your going to hate me but I just shot this today out of my GAP CREEDMOR

It's the only rifle I have that absolutely will not shoot them unless they are JUMPING BIG TIME. I've tried seating close to the lands.... Shoots like shit.

Berger has some recommendation that's like load a few in the lands , a few 10/1000's off, then to like 25 or 30/1000's. you can find it on bergers web page.

My 6.5CM likes 42.4 and 42.6 gr. of H4350 for the 140 VLDs. For some reason, the groups open up when I use 42.5. Anyway, here are the specifics on the three I had decent results with:

Oh, and it should say CBTO (cartridge base to ogive) instead of CBOT...

bergers usually like as close to the lands as you can get them... at least imo! I shoot these same bullets, or have been testing them... but I am not sold on them yet.

My family has 2 Creedmoor's and they both shoot these (and the 130 VLD) very very good. 1 will only shoot them jamming and the other will shoot them either way. Plus, I run them somewhat hotter than what is being suggested with H4350 (I was looking for a certain velocity and am not seeing any pressure issues). The rifle that will shoot them either way can jump the 140's .050", but will shoot them slightly better jamming.

I realized that when I shoot, I was more interested in accuracy than being able to load from the magazine. The only one competing here is me against I.
