Bergera rifle bipod mount problem

I just received a Begara Ridgeback which has a Grayboe stock. The stock has M-lock inserts in which I installed an Arca mount plate. The plate is fully tight, yet there is lots of wiggle. I tried a 2-inch plat and a 6-inch plate with the same results. I suspect the stock inserts to be the problem. Any suggestions?

What is lots of wiggle? Is the plate fully tight against the mlock slot and the whole thing rocks? Are the fasteners bottoming out early and not letting it get fully tight?

The M-lock screws are very tight and the whole thing rocks. I can't see if they are bottoming out because the plate is so wide. I will post some pics later today
