Given my experience with other Athlon Cronus products, the 1-6x24 Doug (CLNY) has linked above for $750 is hands down the best in this price range.
I just bought one and I don't have a rifle for it.
edit: I just re-read the specs and although SFP is in the description twice, the specs indicate FFP. If so, not for me. LPVOs with BDC reticles and daylight bright illumination need to have reticles in the SFP. I'll call when they open, and may be cancelling my order.
I Have 2 Razor GII JM1 reticle 1x6s (SFP) and one Bushnell ET 1624 SFP BDC LPVO. Excellent scopes.
Tried 2 1-6 FFPs, a Bushnell ET 1624 and the SWFA 1-6 (excellent scope otherwise) and my LPVOs will always have SFP BDC reticles.
Just got off the phone (someone picked up an hour before they open, that's service!) and confirmed SFP reticle. No tax and no shipping, so I didn't even try to squeeze them for a SH discount... getting soft in my old age.
Also, practically everything I've ever ordered from them arrives in one day even with free shipping.
I sold a friend an AR and he's got terrible vision. Probably pawn this or the Bushnell off on him. He's gonna need it.
