Looking for some help here. Looking to use a Basset low mount for my m14 and am planning on using a USO SR8C and I need input on some good options for the rings/mount. My main concerns are I want to it to be lightweight and I want it to be as low as possible so I can keep a good cheek weld using a usgi fiberglass stock. Can you use rings with the sr8c or do you need a mount to move it forward? Thanks!

How would this work?

The linked mount will be too high for a proper cheek weld IMO. I'd go with a set of low rings or extra low rings. You should be GTG as far as eye relief goes with standard rings (no need for a cantilever mount).
